ASTM D2273 - Trace Sediment in Lubricating Oils

We perform lubricants quality and conformance testing by ASTM D2273 to determine trace amounts (less than 0.05 volume %) of sediment in lubricating oils. Excessive amounts of sediment in oil can lead to system malfunction in some applications. This test measures the trace level amount of sediment that is naptha-insoluble and can be separated by centrifuging.
