SAE ARP5088 - Acid Number
We perform lubricants testing by SAE ARP5088 to determine the total acid number of new and degraded polyol ester and diester based gas turbine lubricants. This test uses a potentiometric titration technique. The total acid number can be used to assist in the assessment of a lubricant during condition monitoring and for quality assurance or specification verification.
We also perform acidity and acid number testing by ASTM D1613, ASTM D3242, ASTM D3339, ASTM D664, ASTM D7795, ASTM D847, ASTM D974, IP 139, IP 177, IP 354, ISO 6618, and ISO 6619. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types. Click on the test method number to learn more about each test.
