ASTM D3828 - Flash Point by Small Scale Closed Cup Tester

 

We perform fuel testing by ASTM D3828 to determine the flash point of petroleum products, including biodiesel fuels, using a small scale closed cup tester. Flash point by ASTM D3828 uses a small scale closed cup tester to find the flash point of petroleum products and biodiesel fuels having a flash point between -30°C and 300°C. This method outlines several methods for determining a sample's flash point; Method A is a flash or no flash test, while Method B determines the flash point of the sample to within 1°C.
