IP 48 - Oxidation Characteristics of Lubricating Oil

We perform lubricants testing by IP 48 to measure the oxidation stability of lubricating oil under controlled oxidation conditions. Deterioration in the oil is measured by comparing the viscosity and carbon residue of the oil before and after oxidation. This test includes ASTM D445 - Kinematic Viscosity and ASTM D4530 - Micro Carbon Residue (MCRT).
