ASTM D217 - Cone Penetration of Lubricating Grease

 

We perform lubricating grease testing by ASTM D217 to measure the consistency of grease and evaluate the effect of storage conditions on grease consistency. ASTM D217 uses a penetrometer to determine the penetration of a cone of specific size, mass, and finish into a prepared sample of lubricating grease. Cone penetration is measured in tenths of a millimeter.
