ASTM D4625 - Storage Stability

We perform diesel quality testing by ASTM D4625 to evaluate the storage stability of diesel fuel over a period of time. The fuel is filtered and stored at an elevated temperature for a length of time (between 0 and 24 weeks). Afterwards, the fuel is analyzed for filterable and adherent insolubles. Oxidation and other degradative reactions that lead to sediment formation and fuel color changes are slightly accelerated by these test conditions.

We also perform storage stability testing by ASTM D5304FTM 3465FTM 3467IP 378MIL-PRF-3150 §4.5.5MIL-PRF-7808L §4.4.4MIL-PRF-7808L §4.4.5MIL-PRF-83261 §4.4.3, and MIL-PRF-83363 §4.4.2. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types.
