ASTM D1263 - Leakage Tendences or Performance Characteristics of Automobile Wheel Bearing Grease

We perform grease testing by ASTM D1263 to evaluate the leakage tendencies of automobile wheel bearing greases under laboratory conditions. The grease is distributed in a modified front-wheel hub and spindle assembly, which is then spun at high speed and at a high temperature for more than six hours. Any oil or grease leaks are measured, and the bearing surface is examined at the end of the test.
