ASTM D2240 - Oxidation Stability of Mineral Insulating Oil
We perform mineral oil testing by ASTM D2440 to determine the oxidation stability of mineral transformer oils under accelerated aging conditions. Oxidation stability is measured by the propensity of oils to form sludge and acid products during oxidation. Good oxidation stability is necessary in order to maximize the service life of insulating oil by minimizing the formation of sludge and acid.
We also perform oxidation stability testing by ASTM D2112, ASTM D2272, ASTM D2274, ASTM D525, ASTM D7462, ASTM D873, ASTM D942, ASTM D943, DIN 51587, EN 15751, IP 142, IP 388, IP 40, ISO 12205, ISO 4623, and ISO 7536. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types. Click on the test method number to learn more about each test.
