FTM 202 - Cloud Intensity at Low Temperature
We perform the cloud intensity test by FTM 202 to determine the stability of hydraulic fluids or highly refined light lubricating oils at low temperatures. The sample is chilled in storage for a length of time determined by the product specification. After storage, the sample is shaken, and the turbidity or 'cloudiness' is compared to the turbidity of a similarly shaken standard.
We also perform cloud point testing by ASTM D2500, ASTM D5771, ASTM D5773, DIN 51597, FTM 203, IP 444, IP 446, ISO 3015, MIL-DTL-17111 §18.104.22.168, and MIL-H-22072 §4.6.7.
