ASTM E794 – Melting and Crystallization Temperatures by Thermal Analysis

We perform differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) testing by ASTM E794 to determine the melting and crystallization temperatures of pure materials. This test also uses differential thermal analysis (DTA). ASTM E794 is generally applicable to thermally stable materials with well-defined melting temperatures.

We also perform melting point testing by ASTM D127ASTM D87IP 133, and IP 55. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types. Click on the test method number to learn more about each test.
