ASTM E928 – Purity by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
We perform differential scanning calorimetry testing (DSC) by ASTM E928 to measure the purity of materials greater than 98.5 mole percent purity. This test uses the van’t Hoff equation. The melting temperature range of a compound broadens as the impurity level rises, making this test important for quality control, specification acceptance, and research.
