ASTM D341 – Viscosity-Temperature Charts for Liquid Petroleum Products

We perform ASTM D341, which is a way to determine the kinematic viscosity of a product at any temperature by graphing a line between two known viscosities. Kinematic viscosity-temperature charts are a convenient means to ascertain the kinematic viscosity of a petroleum oil or liquid hydrocarbon at any temperature within a limited range, provided that the kinematic viscosities at two temperatures are known. These charts should only be used in the temperature range where the sample is a homogeneous liquid.

We also perform viscosity testing by ASTM D1092ASTM D2161ASTM D2270ASTM D2422ASTM D2532ASTM D2983ASTM D445IP 226IP 71ISO 2909, and ISO 3104. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types. Click on the test method number to learn more about each test.
