MIL-PRF-372E §4.5.2.1 - Freezing Stability Test

We perform testing according to Military Specification MIL-PRF-372E; this test measures the stability of a weapons cleaning solvent under freezing conditions. The cleaner is placed in a stoppered tube and frozen at -54 °C for 16 hours, followed by 8 hours at 25 °C. This is repeated three times, and then the test tube is allowed to stand at 25 °C for 16 hours. The sample is then examined for any sign of separation.

We also perform thermal stability testing by ASTM D2070ASTM D6468ASTM E487ASTM E537FTM 3411FTM 3458FTM 3459IP 467MIL-H-22072 §4.6.3MIL-PRF-3150 §4.5.4MIL-PRF-32033 §4.2.5.5MIL-PRF-372E §4.5.2.2, and MIL-PRF-87252 §4.5.5. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types.
