ASTM D7342 – Prolonged Worked Stability of Lubricating Grease in Presence of Water (Water Stability Test)
We perform testing by ASTM D7342 to determine the shear stability of lubricating grease in the presence of water. This test is also known as water stability or wet shear stability. Water contamination in grease can affect the stability of in-service lubricating greases. ASTM D7342 is widely used to determine the wet shear stability of in-service greases. Many manufacturer and military specifications require a water or shear stability test by this or another method.
We also perform water stability or water separability testing by FTM 3007, FTM 3463, ASTM D1264, and ASTM D1401.
Sample quantity required: 500 g
