ASTM D5059 - Lead in Gasoline by X-Ray Spectroscopy
We perform gasoline quality testing by ASTM D5059 to determine the total lead content of gasoline fuel within concentration ranges. ASTM D5059 provides three different methods to measure the lead content in gasoline. The lead concentration in gasoline comes from alkyl additives, which improve the antiknock properties of gasoline. (See ASTM D2699 - Research Octane Number Test and ASTM D2700 - Motor Octane Number Test.)
Sample quantity required: 100 ml
