ASTM D942 - Oxidation Stability of Lubricating Greases by the Oxygen Pressure Vessel Method

We perform lubricants testing by ASTM D942 to measure the oxidation resistance of lubricating greases when sealed and stored at a high temperature. The lubricating grease is stored statically in an oxygen atmosphere in a sealed system at an elevated temperature. The change in pressure in the sealed system indicates the amount of oxidation.

We also perform oxidation stability testing by ASTM D2112ASTM D2272ASTM D2274ASTM D2440ASTM D525ASTM D7462ASTM D873, DIN 51587EN 15751IP 142IP 388IP 40ISO 12205ISO 4623, and ISO 7536. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types.
