ASTM C1440 - Specification for Thermoplastic Elastomeric (TPE) Gasket Materials for Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV), Sewer, Sanitary and Storm Plumbing Systems
We perform elastomer quality testing by Specification ASTM C1440, which covers thermoplastic elastomeric gasket materials used in various plumbing systems. These elastomers are used in shielded and non-shielded mechanical couplings in gravity flow drain, waste and vent, sewer, sanitary and storm plumbing systems. These elastomers also are used in couplings to join similar and dissimilar piping sizes and materials.
